Acceptable Use Policy
Fair Use & Network Integrity
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) outlines prohibited activities and reasonable usage expectations for Switch Mobile services.
By activating or using Switch service, you agree to comply with this policy.
Switch reserves the right to suspend, limit, or terminate service for violations of this policy.
1. Lawful Use
Switch services may only be used for lawful purposes.
Prohibited uses include, but are not limited to:
- Fraudulent activity
- Harassment, abuse, or threats
- Transmission of illegal content
- Unlawful distribution of copyrighted material
- Impersonation or identity misrepresentation
Any use of the network for illegal activity may result in immediate suspension and possible reporting to appropriate authorities.
2. Network Abuse & Excessive Use
Switch plans are designed for personal, individual use.
The following activities are prohibited:
- Reselling or redistributing service
- Operating servers or automated systems through the network
- Continuous unattended streaming or automated data transfers
- Excessive tethering beyond reasonable personal use
- Using service in a way that negatively impacts other users
Switch reserves the right to manage network traffic to maintain performance and reliability.
3. Unlimited Plan Fair Use
Switch Unlimited plans provide unlimited data; however, speeds may be subject to network management during periods of congestion.
Unlimited plans are intended for standard personal use, including:
- Streaming
- Browsing
- Social media
- Video calls
- App usage
They are not intended for:
- Commercial reselling
- Industrial IoT usage
- Server hosting
- Continuous automated data consumption
Abusive or extreme usage may result in throttling, suspension, or termination.
4. Device Integrity
Devices used on the Switch network must not:
- Interfere with network operations
- Use unauthorized signal boosters
- Be modified to bypass network safeguards
- Be reported lost or stolen
Fraudulent or blacklisted devices may be blocked.
5. Referral & Earnings Integrity
The $4 per active line referral program is intended for legitimate customer referrals.
Prohibited actions include:
- Creating fake accounts
- Self-referring through fraudulent accounts
- Artificially generating activations
- Manipulating referral tracking
Switch reserves the right to reverse referral earnings and suspend accounts engaged in abuse.
6. International Usage
International features must be used in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Switch may restrict service in cases of:
- Fraud detection
- Suspicious activity
- Excessive roaming patterns inconsistent with personal use
7. Enforcement
Switch may, at its sole discretion:
- Limit speeds
- Restrict features
- Suspend service
- Terminate accounts
Actions may occur without prior notice if activity threatens network integrity or violates this policy.
8. Policy Updates
Switch reserves the right to update this Acceptable Use Policy at any time.
Continued use of service constitutes acceptance of any updates.
